How does OhChimp connect to Fastly?
With a read-only API token sent in the Fastly-Key header. OhChimp verifies it against GET /current_customer, so a global-scope read token is enough. It then reads usage by month per region and per service, and your latest billed invoice when the token has billing access.
Does OhChimp need write access or see my data?
No. OhChimp uses a read-only token and reads usage and billing metadata only: bandwidth in GB, request counts by region and service, and billed invoice totals. It never stores application data, secrets, or workload contents.
What Fastly costs can OhChimp actually reduce?
It pinpoints where traffic concentrates: bandwidth and requests by region, your top services by bandwidth, and regions whose egress is rising more than 25% month over month. Because Fastly pricing is contract-based, OhChimp reports real billed invoice totals from the Invoices API rather than estimating dollars from usage.
Who applies the changes, and can they be rolled back?
You do. Each fix is a reviewable plan with a confidence score, a risk level, and rollback steps. Nothing changes until you click apply, and you are always the one who clicks.
How are Fastly savings verified, and what does it cost?
Against your real Fastly bill. A plan is marked VERIFIED only after 7 or more days, a drop of at least 10%, and 3 consecutive positive checks. Otherwise it stays flagged "not implemented."
